A varied and busy life of stage and corporate musical performances plus a day job and a child showed me there were many ways to explore my artistic side. Sometimes life has a funny way of bringing us full circle. Whilst I enjoy a varied and regular performing schedule, there is a side of singing away from the bright lights and the fancy costumes which is appreciated by a different kind of audience.
Growing up in country Victoria, I regularly attended church with my grandmother. Like her, I loved to join in the hymns at church on a Sunday morning. It is with some fortune that I have the ability of being able to sight read music easily and perhaps because of this, have regularly been invited to sing for services including weddings and funerals over the years. Some people have asked if singing for funerals is depressing. I find it inspirational and uplifting. Whether they be religious or secular ceremonies, I love listening to the Eulogies sharing people’s lives, their successes and their achievements but most of all the love that they share with their friends and family.
